The wind farm project, initiated in 2015, began its construction phase in October 2023 with a planned commissioning at the end of 2024. After road and civil engineering this winter, construction will resume in August to install the 3 wind turbines and their electrical equipment.
Indeed, to avoid the impact on the wildlife during the period of nesting of the birds, in accordance with the forecast planning and in accordance with the prefectural decree, the work is interrupted from the beginning of March to the end of July.
The consideration of biodiversity has been a key issue since the development phase of the project, including studies on fauna and flora carried out on the territory. Environmental experts have analysed the complete biological cycle of animal and plant species in the area to propose a wind farm project adapted to its environment, with measures favourable to the maintenance and development of the local fauna and flora.
WKN France is also committed to minimizing environmental impact through its Green Construction Charter, which promotes sustainable practices and conservation of resources. All contractors are signatories to this charter, ensuring environmentally friendly practices at every stage of construction.
